The setup that works best for me is.

Normal weather: trunks under hodgeman waders, Tshirt and a waterproof windbreaker or spash jacket.

Cold weather I add: wool socks and capeline thermals under hodgeman waders. A baselayer up top like a mysterioso (or any other pullover made with polartec powerstretch) fleece or similar polyester insulation layer. Normally I'd say avoid cotton or wool, but if you are totally dry under waders and a jacket, no matter.
