When doing a repair job, always take the safe route and do a trial run (or two or three) to ensure the seal is solid.
Imagine if you were even further offshore and when the leaks happened or if the peeling patches resulted in a bigger tear.  Glad you guys made it back safely. Hopefully the next fix will be permanent. But still, play it safe for a trip or two. |
