By far the best is Lake Barrett for pure bassing fun. If you can get a
ticket. It's a whole day thing though. 20-30 bass days are not uncommon, they are generally up to 4 pounds. See the SDfish.com Lake Barrett board. I've fished the other lakes in SD extensively as well, and they can be decent or tough. Sweet Barrett pic. We used to sneak in there back in the 70's. The bass fishing was insane back when it was closed for years. Yeah I know, but I'm from El Cajon so it's expected.

El Cap has been good to me on the Kayak this year. Barrett kinda sucks this year. I did worse there than I have been at El Cap (and we had the high count on the lake that day)
Ed I love the new Signature. I forgot about that until I saw your post. Awesome. |
