mission bay report
it should be a perfect place for your post, lots of bay fishing reports on here as well as LJ reports. trolling mission bay is a fine way to get started, find a fish or two. diving Rapala's or similar baits work well, preferably near the bottom. soft plastics, swim baits and the like, are very effective again fished deep or near boat docks, or throw weedless jigs into the weeds. there was more wind than usual this weekend, i think; you can usually find parts of the bay that are fairly calm, just depends on where you launch. Besides mission bay, try out san diego bay. from Tidelands park on Coronado island you can fish near the bridge, or you can launch at shelter island pretty easily. lots of options, fishing is different everywhere you go. you can learn a lot by searching this site or asking questions here.
have fun out there. |

I read a lot before I dive into something so that I'm not completely clueless when I take the first step. |

It wasn't that long ago you were asking all kinds of good question about
different yaks. What did you finally settle on and how are you transporting it? |

I got an OK Trident Prowler 13. Bought a Yakima kayak kit which is two foam blocks and 7 straps to hold it down. Two for the two foam blocks, two at bow, two at the stern, one for the middle through the back doors. Took a few trips before I got it to a point where I'm more comfortable with the mounting of it.
