cooler - what kind to get?

In the event I actually catch a legal sized fish to take home to the mrs. and family, is coleman or whatever is on sale at walmart OK? I have seen Yeti coolers advertised in the sport fishing magazines. Any recommendations? I'm thinking I should upgrade from my 5 gallon bucket filled with frozen water bottles.

If you are fishing for WSB I would suggest something in the 100 quart and over range. Just can't keep enough of the bigger fish in anything less. Very good idea to buy it before you need it cause it can save you a bundle. I am finding the wheels on mine pretty handy too.

If you don't have the space for a Big cooler , This would be the way to go...

Costco has the big 125 qt igloos for about $80.

I got the huge igloo from Costco. Its a beast but perfect for icing down a couple of YT or a big ass WSB.

I knew I should have waited - but, I have not ventured out to the LJ kelp beds yet, just the bay so far. Picked up a 48qt igloo from WM for $20.

If you can afford a Yeti there is not a better cooler on the Market. Im saving for mine now. Not cheap but well worth it. Plus it is Certified Bear Proof.

Are there any good videos of them testing this claim? I would think they would be pretty entertaining.

Here's a great bag from Surf to Summit that can hold the largest of fish
and comes with ice paks that are integrated into the insulated body. I
have one on my kayak.

Of course, since OEX runs this site, please consider purchasing from
them first, if available.

They should make a video of Yeti vs. Worlds Strongest Redneck.

$$ is an issue for me.

I don't know why, but that video summed a whole lot of stuff up for me. lmao.

cool cooler

Hey, I am an old desert camper, and I can say that the 5 day coolers definately keep cooler-longer than a standard...

If you only need for a day, does not matter.

If you need to get a few days (like a Baja trip or?), I definately recommend the 5 day coolers...

Just my 2 cents worth!
