Hey, I am an old desert camper, and I can say that the 5 day coolers definately keep cooler-longer than a standard...
If you only need for a day, does not matter. If you need to get a few days (like a Baja trip or?), I definately recommend the 5 day coolers... Just my 2 cents worth!
