Yellow fever
On the water @ 5:00 am...easy out and lots of bait before and after the last bouy... didn't even try to make bait because there was so much available...headed straight out for 40 min. about 2.5 miles out from the hotel...started to chase the many 1/2 acre bait balls ...lost a boney on a crock...made bait easily and started dragging (1) high and (1) low 12" mac in a weave through the top water bait shows...after losing three big mac snacks to a peskie sea dog...I switched back to throwing iron... I came up on a couple (husband & wife) who caught (2) 10-12 # boneys on either side of me...game on... I headed for a large bait ball with alot of surface churn... In 100 feet of water I began to throw a medium sized triple-weight silver crock @ the edges of the bait... let it sink for 40 to 50 feet, three large rips and burn it in... The third time was the charm...hammer time...after five runs & 15 good minutes of pulling pleasure, I landed this 30# yellow on 14 # test...what a way to start the summer.....There here !!!!!
