Your best bet is to hire a panga to mothership you to the best fishing grounds. K&M is a good operation. The surf launches in this area can be pretty gnarly. If you fish the bay, pay attention to the tides, you can be left high and dry (and by dry I mean 3 ft deep mud) pretty quick. Have fun.

San Quintin (I hate the road getting there)
I have launched at both lorenzo's and from Bahia Faima...to chicken from the other side...cruised all along the shallows picking bass WSB and halibut. Great place to go!

Inside the bay is a waste of time.....if you continue the drive to the outside of the pennisula (straight out from the Old Mill on MalibuJohnnys map) you'll find a small fishing villlage with a semi protected launch (you'll see the pangas). OR rather than the 45min. bone jarring washboard road out to the pennisula you could head south on Baja 1 30 min to the small village of Costa Rica to an easy launch and plenty YT. PM me if you want more info.
