Hey Ken,
Call Malibu and tell them you would like to get a new hatch for your xfactor. When I went up there to get my new xfactor and trade in my old one, they let me keep the old hatch for a buddies kayak and also gave me new straps, weather striping and everything i needed for the installation for my buddy, no extra cost! They are super cool and the factory/warehouse is a rad place to watch them actually making the yaks. Just a thought. Hope that helps. Evan

If you haven't already, you may want to consider some rod leashes/tethers too. Its not if you wil roll your yak, its when. It will happen when you least expect it. It still amazes me how many people still learn the hard way with this one. Its even worse when you lose something because you didn't have it hooked to the leash.
