I'd bring waders, sometimes it gets chilly there, if it is nice and hot, leave them in your stateroom.
The Islander usually has sardines, if you want bait other than sardines, you may want to bring a sabiki rod. If you want to save space, bring a sabiki, make bait with your jig stick, then wrap the sabiki around a piece of pool noodle. Love the Islander, 3 weeks! ![]() |

I have a questions about rod reel setups for the trip. I have 1 halibut setup, a yoyo iron, surface iron and 2 sticks for Calico's. 1 for throwing slugs and one for swim baits. Would guys bring one more or another iron setup?

I just got off the phone with Shane, Captain and owner of the Islander. He said that it's suppose to be grease calm. He stoked because we will get to fish the weather side of the Island which doesn't usually get hit that hard. Calico fishing has been going off, be sure to bring duct tape so your thumb doesn't get bloody, bass thumb sucks! He is going to call me tomorrow or the next day to give me the DOPE....Stay tuned
