Okay, I'm sold! Looks like a nice get away Steve. So you get a hotel room when you go? Do they book up fast? What's the season for trout fishin up there?

Mammoth
The hotels do book up fast. We are going in July and booked a condo on April 15. So if you plan to go in summer, book a room now. Trout season in Mammoth starts in April and I think it ends in October. Not sure. Check out the condos on MammothEstates.com.

We hotel it in the cold, camp in the summer. There is usually lots of rooms available in the June Lake Loop, where we stay (unless there is a big event or derby going on). The hotel we stay it is friggen cool. This wknd they were only booked 1/3 full, and it was the wknd after opener
