hah i knew it that was why i keep getting stuck and losing cars

From the past pics we have seen of those who did get stuck, I'd say stay clear of wet sand. Anyone who I saw was stuck got too close to the wet sand.

Actually it's the wet sand that is packed and dense.. and thus easier to drive on. You want to stay away from the water no doubt.. but the hard/ wet sand is the ticket. Usually not a prob in the morning. In the afternoons, on a low tide, when the higher beach area dries, is the worst sand to drive in in a 2wd vehicle. Especially if its at all chewed up by heavy use.. then you will have to rely on momentum to plow through it.. but at that point you are better off not driving onto the beach at all, unless you are experienced driving in soft sand, or you have 4wd.

Otherwise, get out past the yellow reserve bouys, and get to know the area. That's the best you can do. If you have sonar, that's even better. You will be able to get to know the area based on your depth, and what structure is where/ where the canyon is etc..
