Where do i put the fish finder ?

I just got a mariner 12.5 propel

where should I put the fish finder ? and what kind of fish finder works best ?

If you look at the owner photo gallery on the Native Watercraft site you will see a few different mounting options. There aren't a lot of photos of the pedal-drive version with fish finders. I looks like you can get a rail clamp and put it on the tube just forward of the pedals or try a mount on the cockpit rails. For either of those options you will probably want to look at RAM or Scotty mounts. Some users (mostly paddlers) have made what look like combo cutting boards/electronics/rod holder mounts. I'm not sure if that would work for yours, but you could try. My advice is to make a little 3D cardboard FF and duct tape it to a couple of different likely mounting points. Paddle/pedal around for a while and figure out which works best. Make sure you can see the screen, reach the controls while paddling/pedaling and that it doesn't get in the way of your legs/feet or rods

I just remembered that some guy from Florida posted pics of his Native on La Jolla Kayak fishing. It isn't the same model, but he did a lot of work on it.
