Got to the launch only to find my sonar doesn't work anymore. That sucks. Time to use the westmarine policy on it. Wasted time trying to get it to work, no success. Launched around 3:30 ish a little after katchfish. I trolled a sabiki around and was getting frustrated at having no bait. Finally as I was about even with the hotel on the way out and fiddling with my fishfinder trying to get life out of it I stumbled on a school of jumbo greenbacks. Still no sonar. I picked up a couple, along with a candy bar size greenie and a spanish. 10-15 Birds were working the edge of the canyon, but as far as I could tell no big fish under them. I slowly worked my way over to the half, and just circled the spot for a while. Not a good day as the wind was up, it was getting cold, and my reel that just got fixed broke again.
