Finally got my first Yellowtail too
after my first sleigh ride, i paddle out to the same spot where i hooked the yellow, and 5 casts later i'm on again, and this time its hauling ass towards the kelp. finally get it to a vertical battle and 25 minutes later we gaff my second kayak yellowtail. it ended up being my all time personal best yellowtail, weighing in at 31.3 lbs after bleeding. (its the bigger YT on top) big thanks to tyler for helping me with the landing and bleeding, "Tyler's Guide Service" really made my day. he caught a 30 pounder on sunday, didn't get any today, but karmas gonna pay off for him manana on el Lago Pacifico. tight lines Reilly |

Nice! I love the matching jump suit too, you look like a fish catching ninja.
Tyler was probably busy trying to snap pictures in the middle of a bite again. He tried to foil me too the other day by asking me to snap his pic right as the swarm hit. I couldnt deny him, that look on his face was pure stoke. Luckily he took long enough getting ready for me to catch another.... Congrats to both of you, nothing like team work |

haha i like the name, i might have to use it - "the blue fish slaying ninja." teamwork really helps thanks to tyler, especially when i havent even bothered to buy a game clip. after yesterday, my christmas list has expanded greatly because i realized all the stuff i needed to successfully catch yellows from the kayak

Blue is the new yellow
Even your paddle is blue! But hey, when you find a color that works, you gotta rock it. Let me guess, you were using a blue iron? Now you just need some blue spectra. Congrats on the fish, those are some honkas. +=

Glad you were smart enough to call it off this morning as well. I was the dude you talked to for a minute that was on his way home. Must have been tough to leave after bagging those forkies yesterday! Nice work.
