Finally got my first Yellowtail...

After at least thirty trips I finally accomplished my goal!
Got it on a blue and white hand painted iron , and a jig stick I just finished wrapping yesterday. Not to shabby... Weighed in at 27 1/2 lbs on my digital scale.

This time I didn't mind getting my kayak dirty and full of blood. haha

Thank you Josh for taking the on the water shots. I'll be saving them for a long time to come.

Nice one!

You'll never forget your first...way to stick with it.

Especially after trying for thirty trips .

On a hand painted iron? Thats awsome!!! There's just something really fulfilling about making your own baits and then scoring with them!!! I always pick up used irons for super cheap and re-hook/paint them....or buy the super cheep mega packs of wack colors that squidco sometimes has and re-painting them, fun stuff
