Thanks for the all the input. I'm due to stop in at Bass Pro Shops and select some Yo-Yo able iron.

What is the best launch spot for La Jolla? I don't have cart wheels , so I'm hoping for an easy launch. If need be, I could get crazazy and get some wheels. I'm thinking I will rent a kayak, and bring my soft rack so I'm mobile.

Mostly I catch bass on my home turf. But I'd rather work and skunk then catch a bass someplace else. Wouldn't be a terrible thing to bring in some bones, but damn do I have YT fever.
