Nice dude, looks like good eats.
How was that fog? Did you paddle through it? I check the (MSU) launch on Sat and headed to the bay instead....

Nice halibut that you got on Saturday, Afran.
The fog bank held way offshore on Sunday, I was 2.5 miles SW, out with the New Seaforth and the Dolphin. Very fishy out there, literally solid on the meter at times with smelt and mackerel and blacksmith and senioritas and baby rockfish 'clouds'. F'n deep bull kelps and lobster traps out there too, 90 - 110' . 2.25 miles at 225 degrees from launch.

Nice taco material Larry.
Im always amazed though, Why dont you Trim the sculpin? I know you've been stung in the past, Id think that was enough to take the extra 30 seconds to trim them up when you catch them. |

Nice report. I enjoy your rockfish story always. I gotta tag along one of these days what your pond is all about. Keep it coming rock master!

Ben, nice to meet you at the launch. Yes sir, light tackle rockfish, forget
that hard stuff ![]() bulletheaded 5 inch plastics in any color. Remember these fish don't move much (say, compared to a bonito) and, the fishfinder is only one part of the equation. The other key is a GPS: http://www.lowrance.com/Products/Out...iFINDER-H2O-C/ I plan to be launching again this Sunday around 7 am - my forecast is smaller surf, 75 degrees, and sunny with light winds. You guys can PM me your email address if ur interested in following me out into that area from Big Rock. P.S. Photos always help my adrenaline level -> http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y11...albumview=grid Last edited by blackcloud9; 10-20-2009 at 11:01 AM. |
