I never thought about the family members being around. The mako gnawed on the fish for maybe 15 minutes. When Gabriel came over to check out the scene, the mako gnawed on his kayak...aggressive little one. And by the way, for what ever it's worth, during the trauma of getting eatin' tail first, the bonito was hacking up squid. All photos were taken with the iPhone, too.

Did you say you thought you saw 2 sharks when it first got hit? Momma?

The first pic is awsome! I bet your liitle guy was stoked!
