So no issues with this model I should be concerned about, or any reasons I should wait to see what else comes up?

I have all the rods I need so I could probably make a couple of bucks on those too

I am 6ft and back in the day 185...

It was fine for my ht/wt, should be ok for you.

Tarpon 120 w/ ~28Kg fish.
