Yak fishing Catalina

I am turning 4-0 this June and wanted to disappear from the world to fish for a few days and then meet up with friends for a party. My first thought was East Cape, but then I don't want to ask people to spend the $ to make the trip.

Catalina came to mind. I have a powerboat, so getting there with my gear is no problem.

I have been to the island many times, but never yak fished. Does anybody have any inside info, or know any guides there, or where to fish?

Fish the same places you would on a boat. There are lots of fishing guides for Catalina.
