Dana Report-Saturday 2-21
Since fishing was slow, took the time to test out my camera set up. You know what they say about guys with big feet .......Big shoes and big pedals! Last edited by forefrazier; 02-23-2009 at 09:10 AM. |

Any pics of the camera setup? The video looks really cool and I too would like to document my inability to catch fish..just Pelicans, Sea Lions....etc

Happy to help a fellow fisherman (notice I did not say "catcher" man ) I found a plastic tripod @ REI that sits low and can be mounted to different things since it also has a Velcro strap: http://www.pedcopods.com/specsup2.htm I simply put it under the front hatch bungee cords and since the legs have rubber ends, it does not move around at all. I don't think you even need to strap the velcro around the bungees but it doesn't hurt to be safe: I made the video in this post with my Olympus you see here. Not ideal since there is no remote and trying to get up there to turn it on (especially if I actually had a nice fish on) would be tough. I am currently looking for a lightweight video camera with a remote that is either waterproof or has an underwater case accessory that could be used. |

Ha that is freaking awesome! That little camera takes a good video. I thought you had something bigger than that up there. You look to be hauling a$$ in the video.

Saw you out there Sat. morning, I was in a yellow Outback. Saw you going bendo on the B Ray. Very slow day for me as well, 2 Bass for the day.
Nice camera set up, takes clean video. |
