Bay buggin and fishin 1/12/09 - Kayak Fishing Adventures on Big Water’s Edge

Went out last night in san diego bay for another great evening with sherm, got to the jetty right as the sun went bellow the point. Dropped the hoops and long story short the seals where all over us

. I picked up one legal

, and 4 shorts. I also fished along the edge of the jetty for 2 calicos, 5 rockfish, 1 decent sized sculpin and I hooked into something nice with headshakes and drag but rubbed up on the rocks and snapped. Kept the sculpin and released the rest, all on plastics.

Very nice.. That sculpin looks mean. How long does it take you to paddle the jetty? Thanks for the report.
