LiFePO4 batteries and capsizing
I've just bought a new fishing kayak and a LiFeP04. I'm trying to protect everything in the event I capsize my kayak. My understanding is that the BMS electronics in my battery will self-destruct if the kayak turns over. I've been trying to find a really waterproof case for it. I'd appreciate any recommendations or ideas. Thanks |

What size battery are you talking about? They vary in size.
Or, get a more stable kayak. I use a 12V/20ah in my two kayaks and run everything (FF, Bait tank and occasionally lights) on that. I'm upgrading that to a 30ah though due to the 20ah running dry on longer trips of about 7-8 hours.
