Kayak fish of the week Nov 1-7th 2021

Every week I try to get offshore at least once. Here are a few photos from offshore last Thursday out of Pompano Beach, Florida.

A keeper Mutton Snapper is a good day. Stoked to get this one on a vertical jig.

A big AJ also makes the day. This is my East Coast California Yellowtail. This one might have smoked me on the nearby wreck had the back jig hook not thrown the fish off balance enough for me to get the edge early on in the battle.

Barracuda through the mirage drive! This was a first. Cuda got wrapped on the flipper making it the most practical means of landing.

King Mackerel took on a live Little Tunny. Little Tunnies are hard to keep alive and can be hard to find, but have produced some monster fish for the Charter boats, which is my inspiration to keep trying. I hope these pics inspire others to keep trying. All fish were released except the Mutton Snapper.

Nice haul and diversity! Like I've said before, I'd be stoked to catch just one of those fish in a session!

Thanks, LMK when you want to drive down and meet up. In the meantime, you might want to check out some action closer for you in Sebastion.

Thank you Quang, someday I want to power my kayak so that I can cover more areas like your doing with the Solo Skiff. With a subscription to SeaTow and a bigger VHF antenna, I might even try the gulf stream for Mahi.

It will have a like 👍 button it's saves you time in having to make a comment and let's you know you have friends in a ocean of silence peeps. As far as Facebook go's mine is closed to the public...what's the point so people you don't even know can spy Take your inventory and size you up...them idiot's at the top pulling strings some how thing were all suppose to be connected...
Your friends are not my friends and the closest people to me are not on my Facebook. You ever heard the term your showing to many cards being said two sides to a coin why should you let the other side of the coin 👀 see yours and yes I'm single and I like it...better than sitting in a bar....especially when you don't drink alcohol anymore.

Stay safe out there....

And I'm sure you have a tourniquet ready to go...or at least thought about it. As much as you fish you don't want to be fumbling around if one of those toothy critters gets a hold of you, that would suck trying to cut a piece of rope at the last minute.

Thanks, Yes, Scary thoughts.... something we never want to happen but addressed in my emergency bag along with my First aid, Flares, Mirror, PLB, and flex tape for if a critter puts a hole in the yak.
