Based on your knowledge of the area, one might consider yourself as a "local." Sounds like a fun way to spend the day -- Congratulations on the keeper lobster! Lobstering at Catalina reminds me of the one time on an overnight sportfisher that the deckhand found a line hooked on the anchor. He pulled it up to find an unmarked lobster trap stacked full of about 50 lobsters. The line was cut and the lobsters were released.
