Newport - 9/4

Rough day.

Launched at 6am right at first light. Calm clean conditions but cold water. Red tide was thick outside.

Went to 200ft of water to fish some big plastics and slow pitch jigs for rockfish and only got one tiny red. Put the red on the descender and sent him back down.

Moved inside to try and do some bass fishing on the shallower reefs/kelp and got skunked before heading back in as the wind came up.

I was there last week ,tried to catch some rockfish but not even small one
