Surface iron fish
Definitely the best way to get a yellow! The excitement when you see them sun bathing is like no other(like seeing a pair of boobies for the first time). I apologize ladies just trying to get my point across . Keep your eyes open and your head on a swivel. Most importantly ALWAYS have a surface iron ready to fire. Here are a few that I could find. Sorry guys not a very good story teller. All in our backyard, beautiful la jolla. I know there's more, let's see them!

I mostly Fly Line a live Greenback, as my choice of targeting La Jolla Yellowtail, but I do throw some irons when conditions demand. 32# La Jolla Yellowtail March 2017, kept it and donated to Heroes on the Water, after cleaning, filleting and vacuum slealing, it was used to feed the Disabled Vets and Volunteers at an HOW Function.
