it's a european corvina -- basically a jumbo version of the loup de mer/lubino/llobaro/branzino (depending on where you're eating it)

fine table fare.

for a second there i thought somebody had finally roped in one of those mullet that jump out the water in mission bay.

rumor has it they're all but impossible to catch

anyways, that is a fine fish. getting hard to come by fish of that caliber in the med
