When I lived in Santa Clarita I always wanted to fish Malibu & north never got around to it though.
I remember back in my surfing days the "Rocky beaches" which made me cautious about beach landings there. BTW: Nice catch! Make me eager to get my new 2020 Hobie (finally sold my 2013) from Andy (OEX Sunset Beach) and see what the inshore (Tomales Bay) has to offer up here. You definitely have to watch out for the rocks landing on some of the beaches. I guess it's also part of why the shallow water bass fishing is good on that stretch of the coast. Good luck in Tomales Bay. Good Striper fishing I hear.
