Line the flag pole up with.....
The second palm frond hut and stay west of that I would not put a bait pole out any closer. You might have a game warden handing you a ticket on the beach. Could be in the thousands of $ For MLPA violation. Not worth it they could even make a blow up video of you if they wanted.

The palm tree...
Must be right next to the hut cause I checked it with my GPS MLPA boundaries closure on my graph.

Flag pole and the palm tree are a very good mark if you are in the area from the canyon and South. The 2 points do not lie in exactly the same latitude, so the further you are away from them, the more West that line will push you. But without any other means of determining your position, they are a good start.
In the main LJ Reserve, as with all of the MLPA reserves you cannot take anything including bait. The area from the pier going North is a "Conservation Area", not a Reserve. Each conservation area has its own restrictions. For example: in that conservation area, you may catch pelagic finfish bait, but you cannot catch market Squid. |
