25lb YT on the flyline, 8-10” mackerel. I was sitting static just west of The Bump in 120ft trying to figure out what had crapped out on my Tranx400 reel when my other rig got bit. First YT since September. Gave my remaining livebait to Nickworn, hoped it was lucky for him too

Your bait was very lucky!! 30min or so after you headed in we found some birds circling high above and few random bait balls surfacing over by the kelp line. Started marking some YT and sure enough my flyline goes off! 20min later on the medium/heavy Teramar set up, I landed this beast!! Solid Winter Homegaurd!

Whipped up some poke and tried my luck with a dynamite roll! Both amazing!
