Yeah chilled. Firms up the meat and makes the task much more feasible.
Usually just pan fry them with salt, pepper and serve with lime and Tapatio. Most of the time I keep these guys for my dogs though. My mutts love them! ![]()

Thread resurrection!
Do you catch mackerel that size locally? Most of what I see people eating online are big like that, but even the bigger ones from the roving schools I come across are skinny, even if long. Anything you do to target bigger macks that works well? |
