I Heard There Was Whales Off La Jolla: 08/14/08

Didn't see them.

On calamari in ~80' off the point.


3 big sadbass in the gray and then about 10:30 got just another perch-bite on the whole squid. Wound on it and set it up. Came straight up shakin the whole way. This is the dirtiest, scum-suckinest, mud-dwelling 'but I've ever caught. Looked like it was laying in tar.
