I will be there for the trout opener later this month. First time going in April. For the past few years Ive been going in summer.

I still have the usual 10 day July trip planned. But I wanted to check out the scenery earlier in the year. I know I'll be cold!

Btw, anyone is welcome to come by to my campsite. I am probably going by myself and have a lake front campsite.

WON tournament is going on, recently no big fish has come out of silver lake but for $20 I dont mind entering the tournament.

For the opener. I will probably get there right at check in time and on Sunday I will most likely fish the morning, then have breakfast and check out but fish some more before heading back down. Im not taking my family since it will be too cold for my little ones at night. So there will be room at the site.

I might need just one though so someone can get the other and do their own thing. Dunno yet, need to check with my friends. Everyone is always so excited to go but dont actually commit lol so instead of cancelling I would rather hook up a bwe member

From the cam and this pic taken on the 2nd, it looks like its clearing up from the north end first but should be fully thawed in 3 weeks.
