Get or make some bait. If conditions are conducive enough, go out of the channel and hook a left. Go south west a bit and there are some good spots in front of OB pier and further south. There is a good kelp down that way. Finding their depth is the tricky part. Drag a bait around and hopefully you will get some action. Just cover some water.

As you are heading out of the bay, you pass under a bridge. On the left there is a curving bank. All along that area there are spots of sand. Halibut love that area.
