Mr. NiceGuy. Those a parasitic copepods. Similar to the sea lice you find on yellow tail. The strings off the back are eggs I believe. Mike

Check out and compare the features of the tail in the two videos..............we might have a permanent resident in Santa Monica Bay

I saw another fish that looked about the same size as the one in your video a couple months ago. But I figured it was a Mako, since it was shorter than the average birth length of 5'. This one was no more than 7' (I don't think). Hard to imagine a litter of 2 to 10 of those at 5'
