Question?
So I guess this is kind of like shaving. One blade works fine, two seems better. Now they are up to four or five.....Where is the point of diminishing returns? Or in this case diminishing echoes.

Splitter
Just a cable so I can hook the transducer up to both units so that I can have a screen for my gps and a tv screen for my sonar! Like a T-Connecter or a hub. Not sure if Lowrance actually makes a T-connection for transducers like they do for the navigation system.
I doubt I'll ever use the 9hds on the yak, not sure. I picked it up really for my console on my boat and then I can use the 7 on the bow. I'm thinking of grabbing another 9 however. $999 out the door was a good deal and they still have their sale on bot the HDS 9 and the Elite 7 I posted up a month back for dirt cheap

I thought that that is what they use one of the other connectors on the back of the unit and you link up the two so it's a network. One is the sonar and the other the GPS.
