In San Diego Tommorow, Fish or not?

So I am headed down to San Diego from Los Angeles in the morning for the 2.5 day mothership trip. The trip doesn't even start loading until 4pm.

Should I drive up early and fish somewhere in the morning? Mission Bay? Freshwater? Anyone going out tomorrow that wants some company? Any advice welcome.

I saw the swell looks up for La Jolla. Anyone getting out still?

Well that's a no brainer. Fish. Rent a skiff at seaforth and fish the bay.

Your ship is very small, and the storm is gigantic. But as my gramps taught us the ship is a cork, it floats and only is threatned if it reaches the shore line.

Because I missed the part about the mothership. Thought you were going out on a sport boat.

Where are they loading up?

You could fish then pull up to the Mothership at 3:50A and have them pluck your yak right out of the water.

Maximize time with lines in the water!
One time on a charter trip while the boat was loading at the bait barge, I was bouncing the bottom with a 5" big hammer on a leadhead and I got picked up by a 5' guitarfish... ended up being the biggest fish of the day.
