Legal size?

Were these legal 28" Cuda?
There are a lot of small Cuda all over the coast but the only legals I've seen are coming from Catalina...!
This is great news if there are finally some legal size ones in the mix on the coast.

Legals

4 keeper sized cuddas the rest were around 24" I got so many I lost count I was wondering if they were eating the red crab though? I couldn't find any other bait so I was thinking they must be....After hooking up on the red crab last time I'm thinking I might 3D print a couple red crabs and make a jig to throw at bird piles or just throw a sinker on and let drift. let me know if anyone would want one

Here is something I found that I will try and drop shot with to imitate the red crabs.

I put those on a 1/2oz red jighead when they were thick a long time ago (pre 2004 bc I was on my kobra) and had a blast catching many species off reef point in Crystal Cove. Majority were sheep but sargo and yfc and perches and basses and smalibuts all ate them. I let current sweep them around rocks boilers and deeper reefs. I didnt have enough of them though and they got destroyed so the action stopped w a long paddle back uphill to Newport. Bring them all if you fish them. Sometimes fish are just keyed on the crab and only the crab.
