Or if you want to get really fancy, stick some velcro to the bottom inside of the kayak and attach some Velcro strips to the box. I've always just used the life jacket tho cause it keeps it raised in case a bunch of water gets in there. And I've never gotten around to taking 5 minutes to Velcro the box haha.

I always advise customers to remove battery in transport, velcro works or just zip tie a carabiner.

X 2 on the velcro. I used the "industrial grade" or whatever its called and theres no way its coming off even if it flipped. I stuck it to one of my foam supports and it sits up way off the bottom. The batterys are already sealed and i dont bother with a box to put it in. Zero issues with corrosion

yes I would always remove the battery during transport I just want the box to stay in place. I have a little hatchback car and so far use soft pads with straps for transport which means I have to flip the kayak upside down. Seems like a velcro strap should do the trick to keep it in place.

On both my Malibu's I use strips of the 2" velcro and also use 3M weather stripping glue to better secure the velcro to the inside of the kayak (flat on the bottom on either side of the center hatch bag) and some on the matching strips to the bottom of the battery pelican box. I always remove it during transport and storage at home.
