I kinda figured, the nay-sayers and haters have made their minds up , but I had the lone diver take a photo (so patience please). Fact is scarier than fiction, in this case, and just another reason not to swim in La Jolla. If I had a choice between a GWS and a swarm of these guys, dragging you down and tearing you apart , the descision would be easy. If anyone comes across these freaks of nature along the kelp (home to giant homeguards and ghosts alike), you know what to do.
