Beginners luck continues. La Jolla - 4/13/16

Had been itching to get back on the water since landing my 1st yellow last week. Brother and I launched right after 6am. Bait was more difficult to make this time. Slow morning but did have a mom and infant whale break the surface about 20 yards from me. Down to my second to last bait finally managed to hook up just before noon. Flylined in 90ft of water.

28lbs, 41 inches at the fork

Are you kidding about the surf? That's a tame launching.

x2. If that fish was in my hands I'd call it 12-14lbs tops.
