Went out today on my skiff. Was at the corner by 6 and bait wasn't as easy to make today.only saw 2 people hook up allday. One bsb and the other idk.there was a lot less Bird activity today then the previous week and it seems like less Mackerel. I dropper Looped squid and also greenie for a hour and slow trolled for about 3 hours.water was light greenish blue color and it felt like summer.good luck guys tight lines

Is there a correlation between dead calm water, bait availability and the bite? Seems those factors go hand and hand

I lost a few macks to the dogs, but fortunately they weren't out in any fierce numbers. Small favors, eh?

Saw at least half dozen out today, but mostly smaller ones. Definitely less bait and bird activity. I did see the usual YT boils around 8-9a though. Just very quick up and downs, no chance to throw anything at them before they dropped again. Should add that there was seemingly no current today, lots of salad floating around. Goodluck tomorrow.

I fished Friday with taggermike. Good bait. Few dogs took our baits. One Mack got hit by a hound shark on bottom and only left the head. Slow day for the 15 boats and 15 yaks. Bites off right now. I timed the wronge weekend.
