Skunked at the Sewer

Launched at 7:30am on 2/13 and realized it was to foggy to go solo. Made my way back to the launch. Met mtnbykr2 and Tim when I went back in and they let me tag along with them.

I wasn't actually skunked if Spanish and greenbacks count. I trolled a greenback for most of the morning with no takers. I saw a couple small halibut get caught but nothing legal.

Wow, the current must be all out of whack if the sewer is getting stray merkins from the Laguna tuna

That's what happens to the local animals when they forget to pay their debts to the raccoons that run the area

Spanish?! No seriously, spanish? I've yet to encounter them while fishing at the sewer. Where would those tasty critters be hiding?

They are mostly caught in the deeper water there. You can usually catch them at the lighthouse casting a sabiki into the shipping lane. Just be aware of traffic if you give that method a try.

If I had found that I'd hook it up to a 4/0 and skunk-troll nice tight circles around the Dolphin.

Missing La Jolla; even if it is all skunky. Houston/Cypress, TX hasn't really been conducive to kayak fishing.
