This makes me sad Humans are so stupid, greedy and selfish sometimes. Our future depends on a different mindset or we will have no future...

Just updated anglers to list. I would expect it would be cheaper to double up with an extra rider to keep costs down. ANYONE having specific info on area, where to camp, lodging, fishing, maps, charts please post that info here as this will be a NEW area for most of us....................... We will be taking a small freezer for meats, a generator, tables. We have a year to work out the details. Fishy Dreams.

Things to think about

IMPORTANT, some things are going to be mandatory for this trip. Everyone will need a working VHF radio and charger. a compass, polarized sun glasses, two night lights. The radio and charger and compass, are for getting home. It is easy to get lost in the mangroves. Because most of the waters are 20-25 feet deep a good set of POLARIZED sunglasses are a must, not only for glare but to spot fish and sand bars.........The two sets of night lights should include spare batteries. One set for camp and one for your yak.

A GPS would be good as most have your track so you could get back to camp easier. A tarp would help keep your gear dry at night as dew and fog are prevalent in Mag Bay. Maybe a stake out pole for the flats, if not then an anchor would be nice. Tides and channels create currents and there will be times when you want to stay in one spot. Fishing the mangroves a longer spare gaff might just save that grouper who tangled in the roots.

Expect to catch tons of bay bass, some areas over 30 an hour, corvina and WSB, then there are pargo, pompano, halibut, Grouper to 50 pounds and SNOOK.
Tight Lines and Fishy Dreams.

Still researching but La Poza Grande, El Faro, and Puerto Lopez Mateos are all on the list. Do YOU have any areas you prefer?????

I have only been to the El Faro site, way up north. I have no preference. I'm willing to go anywhere. I have heard the San Carlos area is a lil rough. Its not easy to find any info on Mag Bay as you are probably finding out.

Bob I will see if I can find another map or two to get us started. I have a couple, one of them being the Baja catch. The Baja catch had enough info for up north but the bay is skinny there and not too many roads. If you get on the wrong road in those tidal areas it can get really ugly as far as getting stuck but I'm sure your are aware of that.
