La Jolla Wave Height - Green Light/Red Light
7-day forecast for La Jolla Shores http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/...latest/six_day Personally, I find under 3' waves and wind at 5-7mph to be enjoyable conditions for La Jolla. This coming Monday looks nice. More than that and I might head for McCall St or Shelter Island, or I might check out conditions at Tidelands or J St.

I was out at La Jolla once 7 foot waves and 25mph winds. That was fun ...

Waves over 3ft AND under ~8 second intervals I'll usually pass. I'll consider launching thru bigger surf but only if the intervals are ~12+ seconds AND the swell is projected to die down by the time I land. Wind up to 10 knots I'm comfy, over 15 then it starts to get miserable.

Maybe 7ft where you were at, more like 30ft where I was near the bend!
