does it have a nice backing plate ????.. my yak has no rodholders and its time after all these years...those rail seem versatile but I am concerned with durability and backing plates...velocity model kayak

Hobie did not feel the need for backing plates, hardware shown in photo, phillips on top, nuts and washers on the inside.
Bob at it's widest point it is 15" the 9 inch seems to be the length of metal tubing within, usable area of rail is 61/2 inches $20 each for the 9" $25 each for the 21" ![]()
