What is the benefit of a large single hook on a Megabait? Anyone know?

Does it swim differently?

I bought two rods and a reel from him yesterday to freshen up my arsenal, but I have my eye on a replacement for my main La Jolla rod and reel. I might buy myself a gift certificate. Why not?

Get your sonar dialed in so that you can find fish.
Drop jr. Sized iron on fish and turn the handle.
Repeat.
