Zuniga jetty

Launched a little after 530 for this long paddle to the jetty. Second time out there and was a very slow slow start. Got me a little worried. All this work to paddle for nothing. Then once the tide changed it picked up and caught some nice fish with the fly rod. Few 15" and some micros.

Nice work. Just out of curiosity, where'd you launch from?

If you launch on a fast moving outgoing tide and come back on an incoming tide, it's not so bad. If you fight the tides both directions and the afternoon wind coming back, it gets a little tedious.

Zip through the keyhole that's halfway out to the Coronado side, clearer / cleaner water and a blast to fish. Just time the tides to go out and in with.

Thanks fellas yeah it was a gamble with the tide. But with all the lobster fishing in the bay's and the high surf I figured that would be my best bet. Man I woke up this morning my back is hurting lol. Thought I was in OK shape.
